BCU's distribution crews cover the full range of overhead and URD work — new construction, reliability upgrades, pole replacements, transformer settings, switching, and service restoration. We operate on both energized and de-energized systems and coordinate directly with utility clearance teams throughout execution. Every crew deploys with a defined plan and a foreman who owns the outcome — no loose arrangements, no scope surprises after mobilization.

BCU builds, expands, and maintains T&D substations across the full asset lifecycle — for both transmission and distribution-class facilities. On the construction side, our crews take the job from structural steel and grounding systems through bus work, equipment connections, and energization. On the maintenance side, we handle equipment change-outs, breaker and transformer work, and inspection-driven repair — and we plan that work around the outage windows utilities can actually accommodate. One contractor across construction and maintenance means the schedule is ours to own, not someone else's to delay.

BCU maintains standing storm capacity out of all three yards, structured to mobilize rapidly for major weather events and sustain extended restoration operations. Our crews are supervised and equipped before the call comes in — not assembled after it.

BCU self-performs civil construction in support of T&D infrastructure — transformer pads, equipment foundations, structure footings, and substation yard work.
